Does a career that blends the use of modern technology with the human touch sound appealing? Then the Medical Assisting Program is right for you.
Medical assisting offers benefits that many other career choices can't. The Bureau of Labor Statistics lists medical assisting as one of the fastest growing occupations (http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos164.htm) over the coming years. As the healthcare industry grows, more and more highly skilled healthcare workers will be required. This is the opportunity you have been waiting for!
A career as a medical assistant offers tremendous flexibility as well. Many medical assistants perform administrative and clinical tasks for physicians, medical specialists and chiropractors. When you enroll in our medical assisting program you will gain a full set of skills to get you on the way to a successful career in the field of healthcare. These skills include:

"Central Coast College gave me skills like how to communicate with patients, do patient charting, lab work, how to draw blood, how to use a computer in a medical environment... I got a little bit of everything from Central Coast College. When I got out into the working environment, I just took everything they taught me and applied it and it worked out great."
